I've recently come to the conclusion that we are either chasing the thrill of live or the slow pull of death. There is no in-between and the saying live life to the fullest seems to make more sense. Why can't we find a middle option, one that gives us hope of eternal life and in religion salvation. What is it that we all seek but the desires within our hearts. To be something greater than we are, the pull that drives us to want success and material things. To some living life means to have a successful career, a family, kids and to others it means taking a different approach and experiencing the wonders of the world and what it has to offer. Does that mean we are searching for an inner peace, one that can only be obtain by fulfilling some kind of obligation by making ourselves into someone of remembrance?
I know that many of our dreams are handed down and are taught as what we are suppose to do with our lives. But what if that wasn't originally in the grand scheme of things that we are not suppose to change some desire but to nurture the world and one another. Instead of letting our personal wants and selfishness guide our decisions. Letting instinct and the care for others guide our decisions. The world would be a different place and people wouldn't be consumed with fashion trends or new technology but to see mankind continue and not destroy our home like we have done for years.
If we opened our minds to the problems of others and mother nature who is clearly screaming at us silently we can provide a better place and a kinder place to exist in.
Thanks,
Madyson.
